100% high-tech

Sparck Technologies (previously known as Packaging by Quadient) was founded in 1924, when HaDeWe was headquartered in Drachten, Netherlands. From day one, Sparck Technologies has been focused on innovation and developing high-tech solutions that facilitate life for other entrepreneurs. For example, we conceived, developed and built the world’s first automatic clog machine in the 1920s.

Since those humble beginnings, a lot has changed. Sparck Technologies has grown over time, ensuring that its technical solutions are in-line with market developments.

In 2014, we took our first steps into the world of automatic packaging machines for web shops. The astronomical increase in online ordering meant logistics service providers were desperate for a solution to pack multiple orders quickly, efficiently and in an environmentally friendly way.

Innovation has been written into the DNA of our company. With our skilled engineers, we came up with a solution for the problems faced by online retailers. That solution came in the form of smart machines that can pack custom, fit-to-size orders automatically and at lightning speed, without air and filling material. With over 300 employees in the Netherlands, the United States, Germany, France and the United Kingdom, we have made it our mission to make sustainable packaging the standard in ecommerce. Companies worldwide are now able to benefit from our smart, automated packaging solutions by saving on box volume, packaging material and personnel costs. Built on a foundation of reliability and the passion of our people, Sparck Technologies hopes to revolutionize the packaging world by making it more sustainable and efficient. Every movement begins with a Sparck, after all.

You need a Sparck to ignite excitement!

Since 2021, Sparck Technologies has been part of the Dutch investment company Standard Investment located in Amsterdam. Standard Investment owns 16 companies across four  countries, with approximately 4,500 employees and a turnover of more than $1billion.
