Since 2004, WebstaurantStore’s mission has been to offer busy foodservice professionals superior service, fast shipping, and the best selection and prices. So far, they have succeeded in creating and fostering an innovative, easy-to-use website that meets the purchasing needs of food service professionals throughout the world. They have warehouses located across the US to serve both a North American and international customer base with many items located in their warehouses that can ship within one business day.

With future growth in mind, WebstaurantStore turned to Sparck Technologies’ CVP Impack Automated Packaging Solution with dual induct station and three corrugate mills. As an in-line auto-boxer, the CVP measures, constructs, tapes, weighs, and labels various dimension single- and multi-item orders of either hard or soft goods. WebstaurantStore is able to utilize automation to create fit-to-size on-demand custom corrugate shipping cartons based on individual order dimensions.

“The past 18 months have been a tumultuous time for U.S. supply chains. But, the core reason today’s supply chains haven’t completely fallen apart is because solutions providers have been working diligently to partner with customers and clients to streamline processes, implement emerging technology, and deliver results that improve bottom lines and the environment. For many of these collaborations, it’s about achieving full visibility, complete forecasting, end-to-end leverage, and the ultimate in sustainability,” said Marina Mayer, Editor-in-Chief of Supply & Demand Chain Executive and Food Logistics.

“WebstaurantStore began with the goal of creating an innovative, easy-to-use website to meet the purchasing needs of food service professionals nationwide,” said Caleb Clugston, VP of Network Optimization of WebstaurantStore. “While we certainly provide our customers with everything they need for their business, WebstaurantStore has evolved and realized automation is now essential to help us continue our growth. The CVP Impack offers WebstaurantStore an automated packaging solution that prioritizes improving customer satisfaction while being environmentally responsible.”

“We are delighted to be recognized as one of the 2022 Supply & Demand Chain Executive Top Supply Chain Projects Award winners for our innovative CVP Impack Automated Packaging Solution and our partnership with WebstaurantStore,” said Sean Webb, Director of Automated Packaging Solutions at Sparck Technologies.
