Power Components B.V., a Dutch European market leader in filters and accessories for household appliances, has equipped its new distribution center with the advanced CVP Impack packaging system from Sparck Technologies. This installation aims to make the packaging and shipping of the increasing number of online orders more sustainable and efficient.
For nearly 25 years, Power Components has been a pioneer in e-commerce for filters and accessories for household appliances, known for online shops such as www.afzuigkapfilterwinkel.nl, www.waterfilterwinkel.com, and the house brand Allspares. The company supplies both businesses and consumers. The number of orders through various online shops has increased significantly in recent years, necessitating innovative solutions. CEO Hans Visser states: “With the move to our new 5,500 m2 facility at Zonnebaan in Utrecht, the Netherlands we have taken a significant step to facilitate our growth. Additionally, we have explored ways to further optimize our e-fulfillment.”
To sustainably package various types and sizes of products in large quantities, an automatic packaging machine was necessary. This solution was found in the CVP Impack from Sparck Technologies. This system measures the dimensions of each order in 3D and then cuts a box to size from a continuous strip of cardboard. In one seamless process the box is folded around the order, sealed, and labeled, ready for shipment.
Virtually all online orders can be packaged with the CVP Impack. This makes the packing process much faster than manual packing.

Hans Visser continues: “Virtually all online orders can be packaged with the CVP Impack. This makes the packing process much faster than manual packing, and a right-sized box is also much more sustainable.” Power Components expects to save about 35% on shipping volume, which not only reduces costs but also decreases the number of truck movements.
Antoine de Man, Warehouse & Logistics Manager at Power Components BV, adds, “With my extensive experience in logistics and production, I’ve encountered numerous packaging solutions, but what we’ve achieved here with Sparck is unparalleled. Sustainable, efficient, cost-effective, and reliable. It’s something we can truly be proud of.”
Arnoud Koopmans, Manager Sales at Sparck Technologies, is very pleased with the collaboration with Power Components B.V.: “We are happy to support Hans Visser’s team in realizing their growth ambitions.” The CVP Impack was commissioned in the spring of 2024 in the central warehouse at Zonnebaan in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
