Sparck Technologies is offering four internships available for 4-6 months to research digital twins in industrial equipment, focusing on lifecycle applications and future trends.
Digital twins, virtual replicas of physical systems, are playing an increasing role in industry. This technology makes it possible to collect real-time data, simulate processes and generate valuable insights. For this assignment, we examine how digital twins can be used in industrial equipment and what benefits they offer at different stages of a product's life cycle.
In which phases of the life cycle (design, production, use, maintenance, end-of-life) can digital twins be applied, and what benefits do they offer?
How do digital twins contribute to improving efficiency, cost savings, sustainability and predictability in the industry?
What trends and developments determine the future of digital twins, and which technologies (such as IoT, AI and big data) play a role in them?
The aim of the assignment is to produce a research report with an overview of the applications and benefits of digital twins in industry. This will include a presentation of key insights and recommendations.
