FHB Group uses the automated packaging system CVP Everest to boost packaging performance
Sparck’s partner EVROFIN supplied Slovakian fulfillment giant FHB Group with the latest CVP Everest fit-to-size automated packaging system – capable of tailor-making 1,100 right-size ecommerce packages per hour.
The rapidly expanding FHB Group, which provides services under the brand ‘Fulfillment by FHB Group,’ will use Sparck’s most advanced automated packaging system to create the smallest parcel possible for individual ecommerce orders of either single- or multi-items, across its premium brands. The CVP Everest was installed in May 2021 at one of FHB distribution centers in Svätý Jur, Slovakia. Two cardboard tracks will enable the online fulfilment professional to pack multiple brands in one seamless flow.
The CVP Everest measures, constructs, seals and labels each parcel in a seamless process – reducing package volumes by up to 50%, cutting cardboard usage by 30% and eliminating the need for void fill. As the CVP Everest makes each package specifically to the size of the individual order, the customer experience is enhanced and trailer volumes are massively reduced – saving transport costs and CO2 emissions.
“With the fit to size packaging of the CVP Everest we are able to pack a large number of orders in one day.”

3PL fulfillment
Lubomir Fogas, Managing Partner at FHB Group, says: “Being the largest provider of 3PL fulfillment services in Central Europe, automation is essential to ensure smooth and flawless services to our customers. We are a professional fulfillment provider and customer satisfaction is of great importance to us. Thanks to the CVP Everest automated packaging machine we are able to pack large order volumes and it allows us to deal with sudden fluctuations in demand like we face during peak season or even on weekends.”
Peter Hornik, Managing Partner at FHB Group adds, “With our fast growth, we doubled the number of orders processed every year. Manual packaging has its limits. We decided to split the volumes into two separate streams – orders set for automated fit-to-size packaging and a process to handle other special packing needs. For the automated part, we’ve chosen Sparck Technologies as our solutions provider. In the upcoming years, we are looking to install more packaging systems at our new HQ warehouse which is currently in a technical development phase.”
Advanced packaging system
Marián Krivosudský, Sales Director at EVROFIN Int. for Slovak Republic, Czech Republic and Hungary says, “We are delighted that FHB Group has decided to adopt the most advanced packaging system on the market, the CVP Everest. This automation helps FHB Group to offer a stable and reliable fulfillment business to customers. Increasingly, environmentally aware consumers are choosing to buy from retailers who demonstrate their commitment to the environment. Making each package the exact size needed to firmly hold and protect the ordered items cuts down on the waste of materials and high carbon-cost, as well as the financial cost of transporting air.”
