We are looking for a Sales Engineer in the UK. As a Sales Engineer, you are key member of our fast growing team in the UK. The role of the Technical Sales Engineer will require the knowledge, expertise and ability to be the technical expert lead in the sales process including pre-sales, analysis, presentation and solution development. In addition, this role will require the development of new and existing opportunities and in particular concentrating of relationships with both integrators or consultants. You will report to the Director Sales and Service NA.

  • In conjunction with the UK Team of Sales and Engineers, design and develop from concept, end to end solutions focusing on incorporating our groundbreaking and market leading automation
  • Be agile, dynamic, flexible and always prepared for a challenge
  • Understand and anticipate the opportunity both short and long term
  • Be full immersed in the sales cycle, identifying and adding value to the proposition and commitment to convert from lead to sales
  • Work independently, remotely and as a self-starter whilst always contributing as a valuable member of the UK, EU and Global team
  • Positively participate in Teams calls, F2F meetings, presentation, exhibitions and site visits as the technical and solutions lead.
  • Understand in conjunction with the Product Manager, when and how to bring to the market all new features and concepts.
  • Research and build reports detailing the cost benefit of Sparck product portfolio and services, present these reports to internal and external customers.
  • Build strong relationships both internally and externally, with current and potential customers/partners.
  • As the UK based Technical Sales guru, maximizing on your technical knowledge to enhance the customers experience, be the go-to for all technical (both Hardware and Software) related questions during the pre-sales process to deliver thorough and in-depth understanding regarding engineering, technical issues or integration in the work flow processes.
  • Work area will be predominantly in the UK.

Skills and Experience Requirements:

To succeed in this exciting and diverse role, we are looking for a dynamic, pro-active, passionate, goal driven colleague with the commitment, tenacity and energy evenly balanced between both personal and professional skills  and experience, and who has the ability to bring a positive and immediate impact to the team.

  • Master’s degree (or Equivalent) in Technical Business Administration, Logistical Management, Engineering or relevant discipline
  • Over 5 years of relevant working experience in warehouse automation, solution design and development, integration projects
  • AutoCAD and Microsoft skill set and experience
  • Good exposure to the sales environment, understanding the sales process from lead through to Sale
  • Holistic mindset and approach to all projects, flexible and agile being able to think on your feet
  • Relentless in your approach, strong business acumen, outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Confidence and experience to interact and present with all levels
  • Willingness to travel over 50% of your time in the UK and occasionally outside the UK
  • Professional ‘WFH’ environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
