Our team of engineers is looking for an intern that will improve the camming of the carboard in our automated packaging machines.
Due to slippage and variation in pulse/mm ratio there is always a difference between real and calculated position of the corrugate. By using sensors we try to measure and compensate for the deviation.
Responsibilities
You will have the following responsibilities:
- Interview stakeholders and write functional specifications
- Make an inventory of current camming and sensors used
- Measure the deviations and perform analysis on these data
- Add sensors if appropriate and adapt algorithm
- Build and test prototype(s)
You will be using the following tools and techniques:
- Beckhoff TwinCAT
- C/C++
- MS Office
