But a constant throughout has been a resourceful culture that marries ingenuity with a long heritage of engineering excellence.
The solution to the rise of e-commerce: automated packaging
Our success, from the 1950s onwards, in developing novel concepts for automating mailroom and despatch operations put us in the right place, at the right time. When e-commerce took off, manual packing and despatch processes soon became stretched, with a risk of failure at peak.
Automation was the obvious answer and we had the knowledge and drive to develop a revolutionary 3D scanning solution that would tailor-make boxes to fit single or multiple-item orders, on-demand and at incredible speeds. A new era of highly responsive, fast fulfilment was here.
The machine heralded a revolution in e-commerce packaging, with a torrent of international sales that has seen Sparck’s CVP systems supplied, installed and supported in over 15 countries across the globe.
We haven’t looked back.
